A troubadour at heart and master storyteller, Brian Ballard’s self-titled album is a flavorful mix of country, americana and folk. Influenced by songwriters like Guy Clark, Robert Earl Keen and Steve Earle, Brian has been honing his craft of songwriting for decades, mentoring under the legendary Nashville songwriter Steve Seskin who describes Brian’s music as “interesting melodies capture poignant lyrics that always tell a story that sounds true to life.”
A California Bay Area native, Brian recorded his 12 original songs at Jumping Dog Studios in Austin, Texas, working with producers Ron Flynt & Walt Wilkins and Austin session players John Chipman on drums & percussion, Chris Beall on electric guitars, Geoff Queen on pedal steel guitar, and Walt Wilkins on acoustic guitars & harmonies.
